My Hip is a Riverbend, mixed media workshop
“When did we start calling them imperfections? Maybe the moment we stopped recognizing
ourselves in nature. The moment we began looking at ourselves as something to fix, instead of
something that already belongs to something greater. There are marks we learn to hide. Curves,
shades, details of the body that suddenly become flaws in the eyes of those who look. And yet,
those same shapes exist everywhere. In the veins of a leaf, in the cracks of the earth, in the
movement of sand, in the petals of a flower. Nature does not correct. It welcomes, transforms,
and allows things to simply be. Because what is authentic does not need to be perfect to be
harmonious. To nature”.-by Originalstyle
